2009

This was the scene outside our home facing east. It is a few minutes after 12 AM, Manila, January 1 2009. There's a little drizzle but it did not stop anyone to celebrate the new year. Blasts of color everywhere! Blues, yellows, and reds. We did not take part in the tradition of burning money through fireworks and fire crackers because we did not have any to burn but this year started well for me even tough. I may have had too much of a company but for sure I was with people who I love. Most especially I spent the first few moments of the new year with the person I love most.
